Agent Commission / Salesman Commission App
V Corporation has been facing problems of workload accumulation and errors of commission calculation as a result of human errors when using computers and especially with the excel application. This problem called for a need to come up with a way of dealing with it. To solve the problem V Corporation had to find someone who can help the company to simply the SOP. The V Corporation approached us so that we can build an agent commission system to help it simply the SOP and reduce the workload and the error of comission and calculation. The aim for the need of the solution of the problem aimed at improving the efficiency of the V Corporation and simplify the tasks it performs. The corporation also wanted to change from the old ways of doing things that were proven not to meets the expectations of the corporations.
For the problem of SOP and workload to be solved. A lot of questions need to be answered to come up with the best solution for the case. Firstly, is the corporation in a position to use the current technology? How will the employees receive the change? The company needed a solution that will solve both the problem of the SOP, workload and the error of commission and calculation (Bonabeau, 2002). After keen observation and analysis, it was found that an agent commission app would work best to solve the problem. The agent commission app was considered because it could allow for multiple tasks to be conducted at the same time simultaneously. For example, the agent commission app allows for recovery of information, reduces the errors unlike in human manual calculations, place an order easier and allow track delivery of the orders.
V Corporation has been facing some challenges in its daily operation of the company. Some of the problems the company has been facing are as follows. Errors have been observed in the calculation of commissions and bonus since it is manual, Time wastage during the approval of the calculation by the clerk and supervisor for the correct figures (Payne,.1955). Moreover, Manual calculation is prone to errors. Manual work for the daily placement of orders has been tedious. Too many customers making calls to the company to make orders. A lot of paperwork to generate sales reports for month and year. Track on order in and delivery to understand the performance of the warehouse is tedious. Since the company is large, it requires employing more people to do the repetitive work or get a solution to all the problems it is facing.
We came with a solution to solve the V corporation challenges. A computer system software had to be introduced for the efficient running of the company’s operation. It is faster and accurate compared to manual and paperwork. This system could help in different operations as follows. Data could be fed in the system and accurate calculation made on commission and bonus figures thus reducing errors associated with manual calculation. The customer will be able to place his order on the system app where the administrator can operate easier. This reduces the many calls made by the agents. The company’s data and information are stored in the system software where this information helps when auditing of the company is needed. The customer can place the order with payment via the app thus increasing the cash flow of the company. The system makes communication easier where there is an introduction of live reports and live chats (Bonabeau,. 2002). Therefore, the report show lives in the dashboard without a human to do calculation. This makes it easy for the supplier to make an announcement when needed. Wallet and account, customers can make payments through the system no need to move to the company to make payment of certain orders placed mobile payments becomes the best for payments. The system makes it easy to track the down line sales, performance, and product order activities of the company.
It also helps in adding and editing new product information to the members in one click thus saving time and labor. The company can direct print or download its excel file anytime it is needed from the system software. The software provides information related to orders, payment status, commission, and bonus calculation promoting the order health of the company. So the agent does not need to call to inquire about the status he can access from the system app. Operation of delivery are been tracked thus making it easy for evaluation of warehouse performance (Dorigo & Gambardella,. 1997). Lastly, the shipping calculation is made auto because already the information regarding the placement and delivery of orders are been stored in the software. Finally, the software app has reduced time and labor wasted in paperwork and manual work.
The analysis shows that computer system software could help the company by improving its efficiency. Data processing is easier and faster compared to manual work. It can operate on many activities at the same time while manual one completes a single task at a time thus causing delays. The company can save the money used to employ many employees to carry out the paperwork ( Dorigo & Gambardella,. 1997). The company saves time wasted as many hours were spent in compiling the data by hand and concentrating on other activities of the company. Applying the best commission system helps to increase the cash flow of the company. The system promotes digitalization and systematization of the company’s operation. There is the provision of data security.
In conclusion, according to the case study, it was found that the agent commission app was appropriate to solve the problem of the business. Agent commission app is very efficient to use to improve the efficiency of the operation of the business. This because it reduces the workload of the activities undertaken within the premises of the business. It works to reduce and also eliminate the errors of commission and calculation that are often found in human manual works. Furthermore, I recommend that in future the speed of operation for agent commission app could be improved further and it operation also not only to reduce the errors but to eliminate them.
